Will this all work?

I am thinking of ordering a Exposure Revo light and hub with Stans Crest rim for bikepacking duties. I know this charges the light OK but also want it to charge my GPS during the day and thinking of one of these that my mate has will do the job for my Garmin Dakota:

The voltage for the gps and lights are different and I need it correct for the gps so has to pass through a unit like this. I think!

This should allow me to charge my gps during the day and at night use the dynamo for the light and batteries for gps. Am I missing something?

In addition the Tecknet has 2 x USB ports. Does this mean I can run my light AND gps off it at the same time? I have a rear USE RedEye light that runs off the port of the USE front lights but the front light has to be on for the rear to work. In slightly dodgy light conditions I may run a rear light only if necessary.

Zomarzi, thanks will read fully later but looks pricier then the Tecknet. Are you saying my option will not work and/or that the ewerk's is betterer?

Or just buy a Revo, and the Exposure boost cable. The boost cable plugs into the smart port and, during the day, can charge your GPS instead of powering your rear light and you get to choose between charging and (standard Exposure RedEye) rear light at night. Not quite as 100% efficient, but much cheaper! ;-)

The Exposure RedEye makes a great rear light for mid-week commuting or riding to the trail light too!
