Just got my hands on a nice thick and fairly light Alpkit Numo!
Any one got any tips on fastest inflation/ deflation methods?
Does anyone know if you can effectively use the Numo "inside" a hunka Xl bivy bag? Just thinking on packing the Numo in with my sleeping bag in the drybag but don't want e down to get damp... Or damper...!
Might try to get some Bunsen burner piping to make an adapter for my bike pump, anyone tried anything similar?
Thanks
Drew

Re: Alpkit Numo
Thanks for the drybag tip, just mocked up an adapter for my pump out of a balloon!
It works....but is about as effective as me trying to blow up a bouncy castle!
Any ideas on an adapter for a drybag? I can't get a visual on how?! :?

Without too much thought ... My first idea would be to fix a spigot of some kind in the bottom of the drybag, something you can attach a tube to. I think I may have something in the workshop from my spacehopper days that'll work, I'll take a look.Any ideas on an adapter for a drybag? I can't get a visual on how?
The other option would be to invest in a NeoAir version: http://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/ ... ack_2.html
Exped do a really good one but it'll only fit Exped mats with flat valves.

I've found you something, it's a mini pump with 2 one way valves (1 for air in and 1 for air out). Should be fairly easy to cannabalise it and fit the section containing the valves to a dry bag.I may have something in the workshop from my spacehopper days that'll work, I'll take a look.
Give me your address and I'll stick it in the post

For others (unless Stu looks down the other side of his Sofa
)The pump-sack is a bit cheaper here: http://www.alloutdoor.co.uk/sleeping-ge ... -sack-.htm deliveries due soon, I've got one on order. I might be doing something wrong but inflating my Neoair takes an age. You can also just buy the valve to turn a large plastic bag into a pump.

Just looking at it ... I think the way forward would be:
Cut the base of the pump off the bellows (it contains the valves)
Make a small hole in the base of the dry bag big enough for the valves to pass through
'Glue' the pump base to the inside of the dry bag with silicone sealer (bathroom flavour, colour of your choice)
If you're worried it might not hold, cut another section off the bellows and put that on the outside of the dry bag and rivet it to the piece on the inside
