Not convinced and that's speaking as someone who has a pair of Surly Sunrise bars.... When your on the drops you will be somewhat spread out?

I’ve 46cm carbon woodchippers on the Fargo, I’d happily go wider, also these have some backsweep and a nice shallow drop.....very tempted, I wonder if the prices are USD or AUD?
There’s a few other ultra wide drops available including the huge crust towel bar.

Its fate....I spent most of my young life drinking in a bar in Walmer when not riding around the cliffs on the Kent coast.
so I've taken the plunge and ordered at set of the 55's If nothing it will make to Fargo even more confusing to the casual observer

while we're on the subject does anyone have any suggestions for long bar tape? I've been using the thick fizik tape which is durable and pretty comfy but only just copes length wise when double wrapped, also I will have to deal with the brake hoses.. The front is already too short due to 46cm woodchippers and a sus fork, one solution would be to fit some of the new shimano GRX chicken levers in the middle

There are Curve dealers in the UK, thus avoiding the customs charges. Such as Giro Cycles in SW London.

I run the Salsa Cowchipper, and cannot get my head around the benefits of going wider than the 44cm that I'm using.

I fitted the Walmer bars before the winter event, quite an involved job, along with the bars the front levers were also changed and plumbed into my hope calipers etc.
I didn’t go for the widest, a modest 55cm at the hoods
These are an absolute game changer, the sweep and width on the tops make them comfortable and gives enough control for gentle off road stuff.
When the going gets rowdy the extra leverage really shows and you can really boss the front wheel around.
I’m fairly broad but I think the wider curve bars would have been a little too much.
The downsides? Well they are not cheap (they came directly from Taiwan and no import tax) and you sacrifice a little in the aerodynamic dept in the road, also your hoses may well be too short for a direct swap. My much loved Fargo is very close to perfect now, definitely a big

I’m using them on a salsa Fargo which is very much a MTB, mine is also fitted with a suspension fork which perhaps encourages slightly more spirited use than perhaps a drop bar gravel bike for instance
