BB200 Saga section.

This tips topic is for Senior bike-packers for whom “49” is a long distant memory and instead now an early-onset mumbled request for mutual oral relief.

It's all right for the young-uns, full of vim and vigour with little burden from advancing years to slow them down. So any tips for those of us being stalked by a hooded fellow carrying a scythe?

Should TLS include choosing between CamelBak or colostomy bag?

Will a dynamo set-up keep a defibrillator fully charged?

Should I stop taking the Viagra during the event or just see what comes up?

Any advice gratefully received but probably forgotten unless written down immediately.

We can always ride around together again Mac, I`ll make sure your walking stick doesn`t go into the spokes!
I will be riding a young mans bike this year, shame its an old man on it!!

Could do Rob, there will be plenty of cheeky youngsters to shout at and admonish for riding up too quickly behind us and giving us a heart attack. No doubt we can wag a finger at their overly long beards and tell them that it is time to bring back National Service.

BTW, if you want, I can send you a link for some padded undershorts with built in surgical truss.

If I remember correctly, we managed to catch up with more than a few of the Whippersnappers who overtook us early on in the ride, Tortoise and the hare was mentioned.
I can do without the truss, but a couple of viagra tablets weigh less than a tarp pole and may do the same job! :-bd

At nearly 59 I think I may need some assistance, so I’ve recruited a young boy (42) to carry the heavy stuff.
Is this still in the spirit of ‘self supporting’?
