Packrafting Scotland - early June

There was some interest shown after last year when we went to Assynt (Chew, me and Rich with my mate Matt).
Loose plans at present for the first weekend in June with a few takers already.
Meet in Fort Bill on Friday night and then weather will dictate final venue but planning on 3 full days out. Will be driving back south on Monday evening.
Very likely Morar and Knoydart are on the cards. Final routing TBC.
Will be backpacking (terrain suggests no bikes) and rafts, bothies and wild camping, trains and ferries may be involved. Remote pub on Knoydart makes a good target.
Drop me a line or post here?

Interested too, just purchased one of the Iron-Raft, so just getting to grips with it, need to make sure i'm competent enough before a trip like this though and current wind and weather isn't helping!

I won’t Stu. Bought secondhand. But we’ll need to move quick if hiring again as a group. Will give Andy Toop a nudge as well as a couple of others. Could be a flotilla ;-)

We were of pretty mixed experience last year and very little in rafts. Had a good laugh and made sensible decisions based on group thoughts and risk perceptions. Be good to have you along.

Bugger, Dee informs me she'll be sunning herself in France at the same time as you're injesting midges and standing in bogs so sadly, I can't play out.

Hopefully still up for it in a rented/borrowed raft?

Won't be the only one this year... will let you know for the next one. Wouldn't want you to miss out on the histamines and trench foot

Hoping to be finished this particular job in may then I can crack on with building the iron raft whilst ignoring all the other work I need to catch up on.

What? You've found a cure?

Bugger, I would have been up for this but early June is almost certainly no go for me. Away to California/Mexico most of May (get y' tiny violins out

), and weekends away in Malta and London booked for June. And somewhere in the midst of that, we're supposed to be moving house
