Cowchippers - Front bag options

I did my first weekend's riding with Cowchippers and bloody loved them. It was fantastic to be able to change position and I found myself really comfortable riding on drops for long periods.

And now the question. What bags are people using with cowchippers? When I get home I'm sure my Apidura bags will not be quite right as it feels like I need the bag to be narrower and maybe with some back support. It would be great if I could get 11 litres which would cover my sleeping bag, liner and a few light bits of clothing.

On Woodchippers I use a Revelate Harness and a 13l Alpkit drysack. It can be packed wide instead of long (if you get my drift).

I couldn`t get the Apidura bar bag to "sit" properly without potentially rubbing the head tube so now use a Wildcat Lion harness, as Colin says, pack it wide not long.

As mentioned Dave, probably better with a harness rather than a fixed roll ... fat, short dry bag easily fitted.

Another harness user here Dave, Wildcat Lion on my Bell Laps with shorter, fatter dry bag (Sea to Summit Vac Pac 13L).

I have used a R&K handlebar mount bolted onto a alpkit Joey with a piece of plastic for support with a 13l roll bag.
If you look on FB bike and bivi page Craig bevan has raised the subject and I have posted some pictures
Sorry the pictures I took are too big to post here

After trying many "dirt drop bars", Cowchippers are my all time favourite. Salsa nailed the right amount of flare, drop and reach, without making the drop position too cramped I think. I just use a Normal Apidura front bag, and find it fine on 44 and 46cm wide bars. I do have to pack it tightly though.
