Poor man's Fargo

I want a Fargo like bike - drop bar MTB, versatile, not too racey, places to bolt stuff on etc. Probably will ride it to work as well as in the hills.
I have a full set of components currently attached to an oldish cross bike I'd like to swap over. It's all pretty old school. 100/135mm QR hubs, 37.2 post, 1&1/8th headset, 68mm BB. Get the picture?
All the gear is good solid unbendable stuff. Rohloff hub, Chris King,Royce, Middleburn, Use etc. It all deserves a new home not retirement.
As the current frame is not broken just old tired and creaky I can't really justify big bucks spending with Mrs Ranger.
Given free reign I'd be on to the Shand website and pressing the button on a drop bar Drove or splurging on a Ti Fargo.
Any ideas on a frames that would fit the bill?
Can't see much further than a Genisis Vagabond or 2nd hand Fargo. Large please.
If anybody has a Large Fargo in the shed (

) for a reasonable sum I'm all ears.
Any other suggestions please!

By the end of next week I might have a Singular Gryphon frameset for sale, used and not too expensive. XL though.

Just looking at a Gryphon online. Is that a specific drop bar bike. Can't quite make that out. An XL may suit, I'm 6'2". Don't know the bike at all though. More reading needed.
Mariner- Think I saw your add in the classifieds. Medium probably too small. Shame as you're just down the road from me

Looking for drop bar MTB. Nice bike though.
Wonder if anyone would want to swap for a 26er expedition touring frameset.
Thorn eXXp. 853 steel. S&S coupling. Amazingly strong, stable and dependable. Rohloff specific. Was eye wateringly expensive but not at all used anymore which is a shame. I fear it's approaching obsolescence these days, the era of the 26er is almost over.

Yes, specific dropbar geometry. I'm also 6'2" and it's been great with a 90mm stem and drop bars. There's loads of steerer too if you want the front higher.

If you want either of these to find a new home I could be tempted.
Ping me a PM. I'd like to know age, condition etc. Few pictures would be nice.
Thanks chaps

No pushing at the back

Medium Fargo, a little old and scruffy, came onto eBay yesterday for £250. Too smal for me
