I can't promise snow but I can promise lots of cake and tea ... which is nearly as good.

if someone was to enter this as a taster event, and wanted to get minimal checkpoints, what kind of distance are we talking?
and would there be some watering holes along the way? :)

I'd estimate sub 30 miles in total.

Plan your route well and you'll not be short of options

Bigger course next year then - Elan Valley is a lot further away from Llanbrynmair that Mach is?
Got to be more than 30 miles from Llanbrynmair to Elan Valley if you went direct?
Looks good though - might give it a go this time.

Anyone travelling up from London for this? Really want to enter but it's a load in fuel terms for one night.

Well I've paid up now. I'll see if I can rope in any of my local chums. What's not to like about riding & sleeping rough in Wales in January?

How many more do you need Stuart? I think I've recruited another two poor lost souls. They've done the WRT twice, you'd think they'd know better.

There's no minimum required but without a certain number, things like hiring the hall, buying cakes and putting together a 'goodie bag' become difficult.

ok well let us know if/when you think it's a runner as we're quite liking the idea of a b&b on the Friday night, along with a full Welsh brekkie
