Cumulus stuff for me. They dont seem to be doing the hammock specific quilt anymore, but I really doubt it matters. They're good value and very well made.

If you go the Cumulus route Tim (and no reason not to, they're great) you'll need something custom from them ... a standard size will be way too small for a chap of your stature.

I got a 250 quilt from Cumulus last year, I hadn’t used a quilt before and am a convert. I find it comfier than a bag, and lighter and cheaper than the equivalent bag. I’d recommend Cumulus too - great value and good to deal with.

Oh, and I didn’t have to pay any duty buying from Cumulus.

I've got both EE and Cumulus quilts of various weights.
Like Stu says a custom would be needed for you but either are good.

I've a Cumulus 150 which is fine (for me) for summer to early autumn use. Cath's got a 350 which she used on the winter event and was plenty warm enough. I'd love an EE but once you add customs duty and VAT (and the "We add this charge because we can" courier tax) it's hard to justify when compared to the Cumulus offerings.
Someone on here did mention the price charged by Cumulus for custom work, be worth a search.

I have an EE, it's a lovely bit of kit but no better than the Cumulus stuff I've seen.
The EE cost over twice as much in the end.... it was a custom but sadly they got it wrong. When I pointed it out the response was basically that I couldn't use a tape measure.
Rude.
Never in a million years will I put a penny their way again.
Shame.

Just added the cumulus 450 to my collection and it's great for warmth and packs smaller than my alpkit pd600

I ordered a custom 150 quilt from Cumulus early in January. It's 4 to 5 weeks for custom work so getting excited as it will be ready very soon
It was 13cm longer, which is an extra baffle, the extra cost was 28 Euro. That brought the cost up to 187 Euro plus 7 Euro shipping.
They were easy to deal with and very helpful.
The 150 is only a one season quilt but in colder weather I'll wear an insulated jacket as well, combining the answers to 2 threads in a single reply there

Ok thanks for the comments, looks like Cummulus is the way to go, its not clear how i do a custom order on the website do i just us the contact form?
Also will be using this in high mountains and probably all year round so thinking i go straight for the 450, do they also do colour choice?

Direct contact I believe. Colours - the Henry Ford model, but you could always ask.

I used the contact form and they then emailed me back. Took them to the next day to reply but that didn't bother me. Once you're happy with the price/spec they email out an order summary and payment details.

I have an EE quilt. But if I was after a quilt now I'm be looking at cumulus. EE quilt is good but the cumulus pricing seems pretty keen
I'm 6'3, my EE quilt is long and wide

UKhammocks do some good stuff and UK made. I'd had really good experiences with them until last year. Hopefully it was just a blip.
There's a UK based fella on ebay (Scotty) who does good stuff too.

Just looked at the web page not a bad price and standard fit is 6ft 2" so just about right for me.

If you contact them I think they will also do custom mod's. As I said, I had one sub standard experience with them last NY out of many previously good ones. His stuff is good so as long as you go in with your eyes open .....

I'm trying not to slag him off for the one sub standard experience I had. All my previous dealings (umpteen quilts and hammocks) had been good and I'd been round to his house and bought in person on a few occasions when he lived up the road. It's difficult to chose the words / phrases and not sound like a dick on the internet
