Reproofing dry bags?

Has anyone tried it?

Some of mine seem to be showing their age ... while unpacking my gear last night I noticed that a small amount of water had got through*. They weren't overfilled and had a good few folds on the closure, I've checked for holes and they're fine. What do you think, worth trying to reproof or should I just buy more?

*In their defence, the conditions were dreadful ... my eVent waterproofs couldn't fully stem the tide at one point :?

In my experience of re proofing jackets it doesn't seem to last long and given the price of drybags and re proofer I think i'd just buy new.

I've reproofed tents and clothing before but not tried dry bags. Could be worth trying to seam seal them again....

I've taken a good look at them ... all I can find are some 'rub' marks on the inside. I assume the material is now thinner in these areas and this is where the water's finding its way in.

To answer your question ... reckon I'll just buy some new ones, I'm liking the look of the new flo' ones at AlpKit ;)
