I’ve got a Jamis dragonslayer, which came with a KSeten integral dropper post.
Am wanting to swap it out as it weighs 750g ! And also my saddlebag doesn’t really fit well with it.
What would be the most comfiest material for a bikepacking seatpost, Carbon, Ti or alloy ? Any recommendations most appreciated

Ti or carbon generally but it's likely to be as much about design as it is material.

Burls have a Ti seatpost for £120, would that be any good ?

I've no experience but I imagine it'd be fine.
Ergon post looks interesting and is meant to be very comfy.

Go narrow (27.2) - and fit a shim if necessary.

Or even better an old type 25.0 USE titanium post with a shim - noticeably flexy and comfy compared to any other post I've used other than a bouncy one...

I have the non-layback version of this but mine is canyon branded (the ceo of both companies are brother-in-laws or something) I like it. Its noticeable in a good way on my hardtail.
Got mine used via eBay. Canyon ones a loads cheap -‘cos no one seems to know they make them...

Do you have any issues with bags damaging carbon posts through friction?

I've not had any problem. And I've never taped them up.

I have gone from an alloy one to a hope carbon one and really like it over the alloy, we get on well.
