Do we have a verdict on Alpkit framebags?
My folks are giving me some money for my birthday so i was considering buying an Alpkit framebag and a bicycle 7 tarp. Do we have a verdict on Alpkit framebags yet or should I be looking elsewhere? Price is an issue and they look like good value to me.

I've one here for testing Ray. I've not tried it in anger yet but my initial impressions are very good. Although intended for something else it fits my Inbred, so will be getting used this coming week. The bag here is a 'no frills' version without divider or pockets.
I'm sure al that's of no use at all

There £65, I reckon a buggy bag custom made to fit your frame would be a better idea. Better fit and cheaper.

I've got a Buggy bag one and its great bag, I cant see the point of a more expensive one unless your out every weekend using it I would rather have the extra money in my pocket, You can always upgrade it later down the line if you feel the need and lets face it their will always be someone willing to take your old bag off your hands.... Buy the cheaper one :D

I think I would rather pay a little extra now to get the lighter bag but guess what, money into my account today but now Alpkit closes their order book for frame bags, damn!Bigface0_0 wrote:I've got a Buggy bag one and its great bag, I cant see the point of a more expensive one unless your out every weekend using it I would rather have the extra money in my pocket, You can always upgrade it later down the line if you feel the need and lets face it their will always be someone willing to take your old bag off your hands.... "money into my account today but now Alpkit closes their order book for frame bags"
this kept happening to me, sold some bits and bobs and was gonna order a bag but couldn't and ended up buying a waterproof instead
then sold some more stuff and before I could get an alpkit order placed I got a bit drunk and bought a ukulele off ebay
I think it's fate that eveytime I have money alpkit close their orders.

But a ukulele is so much better! You can sit strumming along at camp waiting for the meths burner. My neighbours hate mine! :D

Frame bag orders back on so mine is just now ordered.

How much stuff can you pack in a ukulele then and does it bulge?restlessnative wrote: then sold some more stuff and before I could get an alpkit order placed I got a bit drunk and bought a ukulele off ebay![]()
