Has anyone any experience of their tents? ...the Quickhiker 2 person (green dome - MSR(ish) copy) looks amazing value at £79.00 - I like the fact that it's not horrendously heavy at 2.7 kg, (Okay I know..but for a simple, cheap, basic tent) has alloy poles, lots of storage pockets, 2 porches and it can also be used as outer only, so can double up as a sort of tarp. Also the Quickhiker ultralight 2 looks a great buy at £120 - even has a DAC pole and again appears to be really well thought out - about 1.9kg.

I think George has used one and seems to rate it highly ... higher than his more expensive Vango I recall.

No experience of those but I own 3 Quechua tents. For car camping I've got 2 of the big 2 metre square base camp tents which I hook together, with an inner for one and the the other as a porch. I've also got a 3 man pop up. All have been used for 3 season camping and have been faultless. They've been out in some horrendous weather and nothing at all has happened. If those fit your requirements then go for it.

ye quick hiker tents are great , have the ultralight2 whitch used on a few bike packs with eve . and it is great, fits in bar harness well , pretty good in the weather, easy to put up quickly , lots of room for a small 2 man .

i allso have the old quick hiker 2 dome tent and that has had some seriouse hammer in scotland on ski trips , flattened in glencoe onec but all the poles are still fine, and generally better nick than my vango ostro mountain tenet after similar hammer.

both are easy to erect
have really good internal storage
and are reasonably light.
but ye for bike packing the ultrlight one is great

Might be worth considering. Cheaper on AliExpress if you accept the delay/possibility of import hassle.

I have a ultralight1 which is actually a pretty good tent.

My lad uses it if we have a night out and he loves it.

For the money it is a sensible weight, easy to pitch and has taken some rough weather in its stride.
