I can confirm the Tranny is taxed, insured, and has a valid MOT.

There was an incident with a digger which rearranged some minor cosmetic elements. It’ll buff out I’m sure. The oil drum ‘scrap heap challenge thingy’ if your curious, is actually part of a temporary gate to go on an undeveloped construction site. Made out of whatever my neighbour can find in his ‘heap’.

What I can't work out is... the parcel is labelled Royal Mail, delivered by a guy in a Royal Mail shirt, but driving an Amazon liveried van. Not the first time either.

...and again with a Praxis Works HTII BB. Tried to buy it from my local Edinburgh Bike Co-op, but they didn't have it in stock, so ordered it from them online. So kinda from my LBS. Hoping it will last longer than a BB52 (which don't seem to fare much worse than much spendier ones). For every one person saying "buy a Hope BB, they last for years", there's another one saying "bought a Hope BB, it lasted 6 weeks". Very situation-specific I guess. Only downside to the BB52s is lack of serviceability - and yes, I've tried, but it's almost impossible to get the plastic top hat cover out without breaking it. Hoping these are better, but at £30 they're not too bad anyway. The push fit to 24mm adapters seem to be well regarded, so hopeful.

you need a mini BB guard (or ahem fender) to keep crap or water off from front wheel. It'll really extend the BB life. Would a Lizard skin or similar fit? I run a extended crud XL fender https://www.crudproducts.com/xl-fender/ with the end of a trashed SKS Shockboard XL extending it, (just the soft flap with stiffener). The bonus is it keeps most of the crap off your chain aswell. Maybe its uncool but it saves on lots of avoidable maintenance

Just tried mine in the shed, perfect for my Evernew 450 pot which is wide and shallow. The flame pattern is the exact same diameter as the bottom of the pot I need to modify my windshield as where it's not as tall as the 22g the windshield needs a cutout for the handles.

And I now have a new road bike.

I'd been swithering for a year or more but couldn't get past the cost of road bikes these days. The updated version of my current Cube had gone from £1150 to £2999 (in 12 years mind) and that was basically the cost of any equivalent from another brand.

A suitably sized Cube came up on Wiggles eBay site earlier in the week and, with 45 minutes of bidding left, was at £1350. I stuck in a bid of £1851 "for a bit of a laugh" expecting it to go for £2500 or so. I only won the bloody auction!

Just unpacked it and it's new/unridden with the only change to new being that the seatpost had been changed. I guess the original had been damaged or removed to replace another damaged one. That being why it was on eBay.

Size is a 53 which is almost exactly the actual size of my old one which was, supposedly, a 56.

The old one will now be relegated to Zwift duties.
