It does cut tapers,. So right, Stu ! it deburs the end of choppped threads or bolts. So you can thread nuts on easily.
So No lathes, files or angle grind required. Easiest with a drill but also works with a hex bi'ts screw driver. One tool m4 - m25
It cost about £10 (Faithful brand) , but it actually works as promised.
It easy to keep cutting to make a blunt point. It only needs a, few turns.

Haha... I got it (or I understand it now)... thanks Dan. Its a deburring tool for after Daves cut his steerer tube. Must be planning to cut alot of steerers

Oh aye. Personal monitors, face fitted RPE with various filters, 15 minute escape sets, gloves, suited and booted it's getting the full mashings. Luckily it's old, fairly well ventilated and now has a big hole in the side (still 100+ metres away from furthest point.

The debur tool version I got have separated hardened cutting blades, not just the same steel through out.
As my mate says, 'to save time I use the biggest power tool, if I wanna @#&* it up royally.'

Montane fireball footies. Feet were pretty cold on Jan's bivy, despite we wearing a pair of heat holders, so going to give these a whirl. Come in a little stuff sack but more importantly their compressability means they pack a bit smaller than the heat holders
