Ok, it came with the postman yesterday, but got a Surly Knard 29 x 3.0 for front of Fargo. Didnt think it was big till I put it in! Squeeze to get it past the caliper and kicks up the front end a bit but will see how it rides tomorrow.

Is that mudguard on the "right" way? I thought they were supposed to be on the "back" of the forks, pointy bit below the DT?
Just curious 8-) Always on the hunt for something subtle but effective at keeping grit out of my eyes.

They do an XL version that has a pointy bit front and rear, but I dont find it woks as well as my current set up

Ha, my teeth are hanging anyway. Grit in the eyes with contact lenses is a PITA though, must try one.

Re: The post man's been ...
In an bid to increase my winter riding wardrobe and still maintain a high level of gimpyness (which I believe will be the next 'big thing' if interest here is anything to go by) I bought this Marmot vest ... plain softshell back, windproof front with the added bonus of synthetic insulation.

Not the postman but I sent the wife to Aldi yesterday for some pour and store bags, as per the bargain alert thread and this is what she came back with.

Won't be running out in a hurry. 80 bags!!

Aw, she loves you and wanted to treat you. Either that or it's a less-than-subtle hint

My transformation to a roadie is now complete - three Crikey, how much jerseys, and in a svelte Small. In my defence, they are in the sale and they are purdy

It comes in at 280g. Fits inside a trangia pot. Boiled a full bowl of water in 3 minutes. It is impressively good.Brothersmith wrote:Looks nice. Out of interest how heavy is it and how long does it take to boil?pushbikemike wrote:A wildstove.

Re: The post man's been ...
Postman has been very busy this week bringing me lots of goodies!

First up was the mh sleeping bag from BB's very own Stuart! Delighted with it, worked a great sleeping in the back garden! Next to arrive was my tarp from tw. Had one before which went on the tip, so I knew it would be very well made. Along with that arrived a hi-gear inferno stove.
Finally today, my alpkit order arrived. I ordered a ti cup and mug, 2 airlok extras, 8l and 13l, a snapwire foon and some candy cane pegs. I've almost got everything I need now, just missing my sleeping mat which will get ordered on my birthday, and maybe some tarp poles from here!

A S/H but as-new Revelate pocket for the less-minimalist trips. Bit of an impulse buy, but I like bar bags, I'll admit it.. this one's better than the old tourer type I used on my first road tour. Reminds me how good it is to have easy access stuff there.

I find the Pocket very handy for things like keys, wallet, midge spray etc and the straps give extra support to the Sweetroll. Works especially well with the loop bars.

Slightly used Caldera stove and Evernew 600ml pot. I seem to be developing a stove fetish as this takes me up to 4 :?
