I came home from my Northumberland holiday to find the postman had delivered a new take on a stem cell, this one is the prototype "Pop Corn Bag" from my new Dutch friends at Custom Merit Gear.

Un boxed, with its removable divider

With divider in place, this does move a little

It hold 2 ltrs of water, but it's not designed for that

Or 5 magazines of fig rolls with room for more sweets

It can easily carry a jet boil, a meal and the cutlery

One hand opening and closing when on the move

Not sure as yet, but you need to factor in the €15 shipping as well.
What colour do you want and I'll ask it to be in their first batch then you can make the call.

PS I'm not on commission or any back handers

..... with a quiz.
"How long is a piece of string?"
Answer: 8 yards, 0 feet, 3 inches (*) when it's a length of 0.5mm dyneema posted by a nice man who lives somewhere they don't keep having earthquakes. Which yet again, for the third time, happened when I was away. Coincidence? The public must be told.
(*) Don't use yfi? OK then, it's better than that because Stu must be measuring in fathoms - it's almost exactly 3 thereof.

With a new chain for the Spearfish. Some quicklinks* for same and a spare set of Hope brake pads.
The old chain broke three times in the last couple of weeks! Consequently it had four quicklinks in it

I think I'll just stick with the one for the new chain.

Whilst on the subject of imperial (ie proper (*)) measurements: 66'. Assuming a new chain is the same as an old chain.
What I'm not sure about is why one would check a worn chain (one that is edging towards 65'11"?) with a tool that measures in percentages?
(*) yes they are. This site only recognises imperial. Ask Stu.

A chain made
entirely out of quicklinks would be interesting. Presumably you'd still need a spare quicklink to fix it?

Um, 4 fathoms?
Or is this yet another situation where Imperial measurements come in a variety of "standards"?

My calculator is playing up. Yeah, 4

.
And while I'm correcting meself, a worn chain would be 66'1" wouldn't it, not 65'11".

I've been pondering rack options for my Nutrail and the OMM is amongst them. I'd also need the Robert Axle as it has no braze-ons. It's all a bit spendy so any feedback on the rack would be appreciated. I'm also looking at the Blackburn Outpost.
