remind me again is there something about which side to use, when etc? I've just been using some old section of plastic sheet until now. I recall it's work washing the Tyvek (or both) to reduce inherent slippiness.

Either side up. If you wash Tyvek it'll soften it and make it feel less 'wax papery'.

I managed to get some Tyvek from a friend in the village. It's got a strip of sticky tape down one edge though, what do you do to get rid of that...?

That's what I do. Too much groundsheet can / may / perhaps result in it collecting water.

Boost spacing and enough clearance for 2.8" (the bottom photo is with the 2.6" from my Signal). Just taken it for a quick spin round my local loop and it's light years beyond my old Rose cross bike.

It’s custom geometry, but it fits like a large frame Camino although this is a bit taller all over than the Camino, a fair bit less stand over but still enough for me. Toe clearance is fine. I run my cleats far back, I’m a size 9.5 and theres plenty of room up front.

I was fortunate to wangle a bit of a discount, so it worked out at roughly the same price as a stock Ti Camino, but they included a sun race cassette and tubeless set up too.

I had been looking at the Ti Fargo and the Cutthroat and after a (very long) period of indecision seemed like the best value option and I’m glad I went for it.

With a big box containing a Stooge Scrambler frame and fork and very nice it looks to . Only problem is all these new standards for a luddite to get his mind round .
It's going to be 27.5+ anyone running a Trail Boss 3.0 on the front and 2.8 Ranger on the rear ? thinking of using 35/40 mm internal rims .
Any other tyre option oppinions very welcome.

.. with some 2mm dyneema in garish yellow and another in subdued red from that nice Rose n Bob at Backpackinglight.co.uk. It's red, it's yellow, and it's 3g/metre. Not much more you can say really. Oh, it stops your tarp falling over. Other than it's 1.7g/metre heavier than the 1.5mm but I've already got some of that and it's boring black/white.

Yeah, go on then! Might swap the Gatewood fixed lines for that, with a teeny loop of dyneema on the end for visibility. Next best thing to dismantled spiders webs (*) I reckon. It's not so thin that it slices through things like a light-sabre is it?

How's the cubane (not cuben) fibre line experimentation going? You can get 0.2 nanometre diameter out of that apparently.

Got an emergency additional BaM with Pickers on Monday so will try the vanilla Gatewood first before mucking about with mods I think.
