Interested hear how you get along with it. Use mine on every trip now. Packs small with an elastic band round it. I find it's easier to use than a schnozz, and it's comfier than a basic inflatable.

It was a few days ago but got a Gatewood Cape sized pole from Stu last week in double-quick time, a little extender to allow me to discover, all for myself, that he was entirely correct and the original pole height is all I will ever need

Also a couple of metres each of tyvek and t'other one (permavent?) - remind me again is there something about which side to use, when etc? I've just been using some old section of plastic sheet until now. I recall it's work washing the Tyvek (or both) to reduce inherent slippiness.

... and delivered an Alpkit barrel bag. I feel like a proper Gravel Taylor now. Time to go for a short spin to test it out, I will not be dangling a mug, or wearing a checked shirt, but I am sporting a beard.

The grey side with Dupont written on it goes face down. At least that's the side that faces out when you slap it on a house...

Either side up. If you wash Tyvek it'll soften it and make it feel less 'wax papery'.

Due to its stitched construction, the Toploader isn’t 100% watertight so we would still recommend storing electronics in a waterproof dry bag. But thanks to the VX21 fabric and the YKK Aquaguard zip it’s still exceptionally weather-proof.
