I saw you were the most recent post on the thread and as I read ScotRoutes post I knew what was coming
Just seen this and at first glance (without zooming in and seeing what it was) my thoughts were: 'That looks gorgeous' and 'wonder what beautiful boutique brand, The Respirator, is'... Then realised whats transpired.Charliecres wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 10:35 pm Finally got all the bits required to build up “The Respirator”. Rides like a dream. Thanks Alasdair!

Weirdly enough, the Amazon man brought a large cork world map for on our wall today too.shutupthepunx wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 5:36 pm amazon man brought me a rather huge world map for the wall
Ohh. I want one of them. Which did you get?shutupthepunx wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 5:36 pm amazon man brought me a rather huge world map for the wall
I’ve had one from The Future Mapping Company, sometimes on sportspursuit, it’s 3m x 2m, which is a little bit big to frame, so it’s Velcro’d to the wallFLV wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 7:03 pmOhh. How has the post held up FLV? Despite this post being out there on the market for a while cant find any long term reviews.FLV wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:44 pmAbout 630g with the cable and lever (mtb) for mine. My scales aren't terribly accurate though.restlessshawn wrote: That looks great with the cx lever! Any ideas what the post weighs?
I've done about 90km on it so far. It works. Push the lever and sit on, down it goes. Stand up and push the lever, up it pops. Nice little 'thunk' so you know it came all the way up. Only two things that could be negatives depending on perspective so far.
1. The little cable receptacle sticks out at 40 or 45 degrees. Whilst this makes for a neat cable run (as neat as it gets on a frame without external cable for it to join in with) if you are blessed with larger thighs and wanted to position your saddle at the rear of the zero offset clamp. You can touch the cable receptacle with an inner thigh. My thigh just touches it, slightly. Noticeable but I can ignore it for now.
2. Minor seat wobble side to side. Very minor really. My old RS reverb did it but I couldn't feel it whilst riding. If I sit and spin up a smooth road climb, I can feel it move, just. But again if it doesn't get worse I can ignore it for the benefit.
As I say, very minor points that I can live with for the benefit for me but worth noting if you are going to splash almost £200 on one.
That took its time but glad it's arrivedand left me a 22g stove with custom windshield for my alpkit 900 pot. looks great!
