05-1-18 - 111kg or 244.5lbs
20-03-18 - 109.5kg or 241.5lbs
08-06-18 - 115.5kg or 254.5lbs
27-07-18 - 111.2kg or 244.5lbs
04-11-18 - 114.5kg 0r 252lbs
14-12-18 - 113kg or 249lbs
What a sack of sh1t of a performance I managed for 2018
My graph looks like the trembling bottom lip of my one year old when he's upset. A vague wobble followed by tears
Good effort all those who managed to actually achieve something other than overall weight gain this year!!!
I'm considering throwing my hat into the ring to organise next years Fatfighters thread as punishment for being so useless at participating these last two years
Just need to have a think and see if I think I'll actually be able to give it the time it needs/deserves before I commit (so feel free anyone else if you fancy giving it a shot).

I've made a good progress over the year, but if the was longer I suspect it would be reduced
Anyway 235lb so -2.6lb and 25lb for the year.

Just a bummer that before my op I was down at 201lb briefly.
If you can run BBFF 2019 that'd be great, if not hopefully someone will step up. I'll be a returning member anyway

30/11 67.3 (148.4)
07/12 68.0 (149.9)
14/12 67.5 (148.8)
It'd be nice to finish on 67kg for the year but it's unlikely to happen with the festive period coming up

Ok, I've had a think and I reckon I can do the job of running the 2019 Fatfighters campaign if you lot will have me?
Are enough people up for another year of this?

I'll be back. I'm pretending my weight gain at the mo is because of the weight training...

So... you may have been thinking "he's not been loosing much weight" and you would be right, but you would be missing the point. When I started all this off in 2017 I was around 93 - 95 kg and felt it and started Fat Fighters on here.
In 2017 it was all about changing the way I eat, not on some fad diet or low card or high fat diet, just eating as I was, but just less of it. I did "try hard" in the first 4 moths of 2017 and lost a bunch of weight, until I found the "right" amount to eat to maintain a given weight. Yes, 85 kg is still chubby but as you will have noticed, have been around this weight for the last year and a half, not slowly creeping back up. i still have to be careful about not just stuffing crap into my face when stressed out (a bad habit of mine).
I just wanted to say, simple things make the biggest difference. Keep at it - think of food as not something to me monitored, weighted, thought about, controlled etc. but how food is fuel and fuel must be used up before refilling the tank.

Well done NC

I'd be happy to get to the day when fat fighting is not about losing weight, but just not gaining it
I'm going to have to get my head right and get back at it properly after my Xmas/New Year hols, for me that does mean having to log food with my fitness pal, it keeps my mind on the job. With me not being able to exercise atleast for the next month or so, it's going to have to be dietry control. If I can't train at least I can eat right to get to the weight I want for when I am allowed to train again and work on flexibility and mobility.

224 lbs. Not the best way to finish the year,up on last month. Try and maintain this over festive period. Then maybe try and lose 2 stone next year

. Thanks to Moder dye for running the gig this year, well done sir, hope you get the medical results you want.
Onwards and upwards (At a slightly shallower angle).

Ok so over the year I've yo-yoed. what has made a difference is when I've got a focus and end goal in mind
The lower carb of the last 2 months has seen me drop the most - which over the short term for me is OK but I need to get back to my porridge
I've kept drinking but its been much less than usual (not a conscious decision, just happened that way) and recently I've cut most of the crap out (snax and sweets etc)
Next year Ive got a couple of things in the first half of the year to keep me on the straight and narrow
- Masters Swimming : Staffs County competition (end of March)
- Going again on the Highland trail : ITT in May before the main event
Well done everyone - same again next year

15/12/2018 - 66.6kg (-0.3kg)
21/12/2018 - 67.2kg (+0.6kg)
Very little change over the year, but I guess not going up is a bonus. Plan now is just to try and get fit again... hopefully.

I managed to get to my target weight and then maintain-ish. I still eat too much junk but this thread has helped me just track it all and know when to get back on the straight and narrow
