Oh and a rear Mudhugger, after my MYOG extension wasn't, er, 100% successful. Along with the cableties there's a rectangle of sticky-backed clear plastic taped underneath it, no idea what that's for!

They're very good mudguards, I think you'll be pleased with it. The plastic is to cut up and use to protect your seat stays from abrasion from the cable ties IIRC.

Warning on the mudhugger. The plastic is helitape to put between the mudhugger and the frame.

Keep an eye on this as I had it wear through the tape and the paint on my frame on my full sus. Caught it before it wrecked the rear stays thankfully. I've now got helitape, then gaffer tape on top.

It's an excellent mudguard though.

Then later a packet of Haribo Goldbaren with some 120mm Reba shocks, a shock pump and Jagwire Pro brake and gear cable sets all aus Deutschland.

Then sans Haribo a pair of XT front and rear shifters.

I know it's off topic norm. I see you are a Brit bike boy!! I am biased to Italian. Looking at a Laverda 180 Jota, (the guzzi V11 will have to go!) I like the panther 650 singles and v twin Vincent's ( you can see the pattern here....Jota is the exception!) Hopefully you will get one of them up and running!! Received a few weeks ago a zelter shelter. Good bivvy,a right faff to use as a coat!! I bought it as got fed up waiting for alpkit hunka XL kelp to be back in stock, surprise, surprise,a couple of weeks later ...in stock. Has anyone else jumped into the deep end and bought a zelter? I pump mine up with a plastic balloon pump with a bit of inner tube on the end to connect to the air chamber!!

Yep, take the cork out in use. My late farther used to have one, he used it all the time when out volunteering on various nature projects. He used to run his on pine-cones, easy to carry some and burn really well.

The one I inherited is at least 20 years old and only has a cork on the end of the chain, none of this new technology...a whistle My dad also used to call it a Kelly Kettle which may account for the differences?

"Kelly" and "Ghillie" are two different manufacturers, IIRC. Ghillie always had a whistle whilst Kelly had a cork, though obviously seems to have changed now.
