Not to my knowledge.

The law is archaic ... you can race motorcycles, cars, horses and people on BW but not bicycles. The FC are quite happy for you (with the appropriate permissions, fees, etc) to race a bike within their forests, as long as none of the tracks you use are BW.
My experience is a sad one ... rather than thinking the law's are stupid and allowing some flexibility, most of the people I've had dealings with actually seem to take great delight in making sure it's enforced to the letter.

Especially archaic as with landowners permission you can race bikes on footpaths! As in the three peaks cx.

'Tis true ... although you can't race a bike on a BW even if you're the landowner

It's steep but I still entered.
Essentially you're paying for medical and limited mechanical support, timing chips and feed stations. None of which you would get on an ITT.
Anyone know how much climbing there is likely to be?

hmmmm......i was looking forward to this but as others say i was hoping for a more ITT based or BB event style ride....oh well im sure one will find the gpx at somepoint on the net somewhere in the future. Saying that if its all fire road i may give it a miss! As for the price, what with all the extra costs ontop of the entry, its a tad bit expensive to ride ya bike for a day in my view

Ok. Sounds fairly achievable then.

A bit pricey, but I have gone with it. I need to get my ass into gear, as having had to pull out of BB200 with a back injury - my motivation has gone to zero!
Being in Yorkshire it's not too far for me and won't require much planning!

Seems slightly ironic that the Tywi Ton didn't run last year due to lack of entries, when the cost was only £15...

I thought it was because the FC wouldn't play ball?
Edit: sorry, I thought you were referring to your gravel event.

I did the Kielder 101 earlier this year - 101Km and we were stuck in one corner of the forest!

Carnau scared 'em all away *grins* I grimace and push go on the 25 quid affairs...but I'm afraid 45 is too rich for my blood these days...that's a new cassette right there...or two if you get 'em from Burty!
I've a feeling I'd be left for dead anyways by the CX riders and their big rings.

200km with 15 hours (7am start until 10pm finish) works out minimum overall average of 13kph including stops to avoid being taken off...
Mmm.... I see on FB they're saying '10mph should see you round' without cut off, but no cut off times at 50/100/150 have being quoted.

I was thinking the same.
I think I'll see what the reviews after the "race" say about it. Then maybe drive up early one Saturday, do the route (before the midges come out for the summer) with a bivi on route and a drive home the next day.
