How many more bikes can be built with the collection of spares lying around in sheds and garages. Geez, you guys are worse than women with shoes!

If more people in the world were like this, the planet would be a much better place.

I still cant believe it..........i feel like the luckiest guy in the world at the moment.

Again, thanks to everyone for all your kindness and generosity.

Don't expect owt from me until the end of the week, I'm without transport until Wed and re-pointing the kitchen as penance for something or other.

The front wheel arrived today.
Big thanks to Gari for sending it out.

What should i look for in a tyre for this wheel?
Is there a special size for a 29er wheel???
WIll be doing cross country (bridleways) mostly with some short road runs.

go for something between a 2.0 and a 2.3 as a general guide.

the lower the knobbles, the faster it will be on dry trails, the bigger the knobbles the better it will be (broadly speaking) in the crud, but may feel more sluggish on the smooth stuff.

I might have something you can have, will look tonight.

You'll need tubes too. Make sure you get the right valve, especially if its a presta hole in the rim

Presta Valves = Skinny
Schreader Valves = Fat car style

Tyres you say?

I've got a set of Trail Kings that have had only a couple of months use. The only issue is one of them has a tiny nick in the sidewall so it doesn't seal if you use it tubeless, but run with inner tubes they'd be fine.

EDIT: 29" x 2.2", folding bead.

Anything else missing? I've got a seatpost, saddle and clamp off an old bike just sitting in a cupboard. 30.9mm diameter, which none of my bikes use unfortunately.

Arrived this morning.
Thank you, very shiny and new.

One question, will the rings easily fit on the BB coming? or do i need some sort of adapter kit.
The ones on my old bike seemed to be riveted together.......cant see in my head how they fit together.

Noob.....lol

You'll need a set of chain ring bolts. Nothing exotic any bike shop will have them ... sadly the workshop rummage didn't turn any spares up.

Ok the BB, pedals and grips arrived this morning.
Thank you.

Question time.
The 2 largest cog for the crank dont seem to fit the pedal arm
Is there supposed to be a spacer between the big and middle cogs, as these fit too close together and leave no room for the chain?

My mates middle and big gear are bent slightly at the mounting holes to allow space between then, these ones are flat.
