Trying to get it straight in my head the plan for next wkd.

From what I can figure there seems to be 2 options.

Option 1- meet in Dolgellau ride with all kit to campsite on saturday then ride back to car sunday?

Option 2 park/start at campsite with camping gear and meet in Dolgellau for a gentle ride back to campsite and then ride out to Dolgellau on Sunday. Second option means you need to cycle twice as far or have a second person to drop/pick up rest of family at start finish?

Have I got that right? If so what are most people doing? I am trying to figure if I can fit all the camping gear (and toys) I need for me and a 6 year on Fargo with a Tag-a-long

Pretty much got it.

I'll be sending an email to you all shortly but.....

2 options

Option 1 - Most people are doing this
Start in Doll (well just outside)
Leave car. (free parking)
Carry all gear & Camp
Cycle back to Car in morning.
This will mean (all along estuary flat, very easy old railway line type trail)
Day-1 Car to Barmouth 8 Miles (Going past campsite so strategic dumping of kit may be available) - Barmouth to camp 3 Miles - Total 11 miles
Day 2 - Camp to car 4.25 miles

Option 2 - Me and you are down for this
Park at Campsite bit earlier, option to not carry all the kit
Day 1 - Cycle to start 4.25 miles, Start to Barmouth, to Camp 11 miles - Total 15.25 miles
Day 2 - 0 Miles

Either way you'll do the same distance, option 2 means we'll be having a pint at 5.25 miles while group won't have earn't it yet at 1.25 miles

I reckon on Grand Depart from Doll Car Park at 1pm (unless this upsets anybody)

Sounds good to me, may still go option 1 yet, see what the weather has in store

There may also be a limited "Portage" option but haven't worked it out yet.

So we will be doing a few of these with maybe a pub stop

As the weather looks good, we'll be taking all our kit with us and travelling light. Or, as light as you can with two kids in tow...

I'll be on the Puffin too, so I can have some beach fun.

There will be a Portage option if you want some stuff to magically appear at where we are camping.

Bottles of wine, 6 pack, etc

Basically, chuck it in our car in Doll and our car will be at the site later on.

There will also be a huge cool box full of ice to make sure the Pinot Grigio isn't too warm.

Doh! just spent last wkd fitting forks and front rack on Fargo so I can carry everything
