Last night,
this.
Oof. So good. Bonus, my camping mug still had a trace of the taste this morning, which made my coffee that little bit extra.
Slept like a baby, too.
A fan of both of those breweries. Nice.
Most of my drinking lately has been Mash Gang stuff. I spent years trying low / non alcohol beers and only ever found three or four I was willing to drink. By comparison, I've had maybe fifteen different beers from them and have only disliked two of them.

When it's a barley wine; it's more of a style of beer, not what a beer becomes when it's strong.

A very nice bottle of Devon Dumpling which will shortly be followed by the same brewery’s Pure Gold

In a restaurant in France this evening I asked the sommelier for a recommendation for a desert wine. He brought me Drambuie with ice. By Jove a revelation!!

Leffe blonde. In Belgium. Ghent to be precise.
Having successfully, eventually, extracted myself from the vast urban jungle that is Dunkerque and it's port area...thought for a while I'd have to ride round and round in circles till it's time to catch the ferry back home

Not at this precise moment (
before luncheon? Even Reg has
some decorum

), but ready on standby for emergency use:
The Vanilla Stout Quest continues. Unfortunately had to have these posted, rather than bought locally, and that meant
most unfortunately I had to buy twelve.

Big fan of the Purple Moose brewery... whenever I detour to Porthmadog or Betws-y-coed I always stop at the Brewery outlet shops for a couple of mixed boxes...

Super boring for this thread, but non-alcoholic beer. Big drop brewery Pine Trail Ale is very nice, and Hazy Jane stuff. I've not become completely teetotal and don't intend to, but have changed home drinks to almost entirely non-alcoholic. Stops me just chugging lazily on whatever is in the cupboard, and I sleep and feel better for it. Pints of 'real' beer at pubs are still very much a thing (and very much enjoyed), but that's pretty rare for this social introvert

Yah, I'm quite partial to their Elderflower jobby.
Next port of call will be Mold Hafod brewery because I've discovered
they do a Choc Van Stout as well. Maybe I could squeeze 12 cans into my seatpack when I next visit Our Frog.

as a stout lover .... I had one of these
https://harbwr.wales/product/la-nossa-signora/ last night
Milk Chocolate Orange .... maybe not as good as it could have been. I like a good stout to be full flavoured and rich.
This was not bad but had an almost "geuze" aftertaste, only a hint of sour and only right at the end, but didn't leave the aftertaste I'd hope for.

Tenby eh. Dint know about that one. Not sure about sour stout
Eyam Brewery do an interesting Chocolate Orange Stout called, obviously, Bubonic Plague. Got a couple in the cupboard.
Extremely full-flavoured

.
However, the sun is now over the yardarm and it's Cheery Friday so I'm having a test drive of one of them there aforementioned Mws Piws Choc Moose cans, while working on fagpacket timings for next weekend's BaM. Very nice so far.

Just home from an evening putting the world to rights with a very good friend. Couple of pints of Hofbräu Dunkel amongst others. Very nice dark lager, would drink again.

Did you succeed? There seems to be a bit of a delay. Not noticed any improvement yet. I suppose I am 140 miles away though.

10.6 - most restrained
Tonka, vanilla, coconut, cacao...
Tonka - didn't they used to make kids toys? Tonka Toys. They did an impressive excavator if I remember rightly. Wasn't their schtick that you could stand on the toys without breaking them or something?
Oh hang on a minute. "Tonka bean - often appearing as an ingredient in perfumes. Outside the United States, it has also long been utilized by chefs, but studies have indicated that coumarin, a chemical compound in the plant, can cause liver damage in animals, and the Food and Drug Administration banned the bean in commercial foods in 1954". Chris? Chris, are you ok up there mate?
Coconut - nope. Had a bad experience with one as a child. Don't like to talk about it
And "State Of Mind", I think we've been through this before. Skating on thin ice in This Place really.

Sorry, I'm still following up tonkas - I purely have your welfare at heart, Bear.
"As long as you don’t use a copious amount of it – obviously a copious amount could cause death – it really is delicious,” says Thomas Raquel, head pastry chef at the Michelin-starred Le Bernardin in New York, not particularly reassuringly".
Blimey.
Only the one can is it? And looks like you're out and about. Hope you've got your ICE card in case those tonkas take lethal effect?

Still alive!
(Crap night's sleep though. Mat deflated at 1am, and despite finding the hole and fixing it with Gorilla tape, never really got back to sleep properly.)

Bottle of Felinfoel double dragon, for nostalgia's sake. Doesn't ever taste as good as the stuff from the tap in The Talbot in Tregaron though. Lots of good memories of that!

One for The Bikepacker Formerly Known As Landslide

.
Sampled at the Live Rooms in Chester last night before the gig. Quite impressed since normally these places just have chilled 'craft beer'.
