I'd think of it as future-proofing, makes the jersey usable forever. Although you'll have to stick with the same size of prospective wife. It would definitely be a talking point the first time the 2 of you went out for a ride.
Reminds me of a fellow pupil on a Welsh course I went on (don't ask), hubby had run off leaving her with 3 kids under 3, he rang her demanding the return of his wedding ring. I can confirm that the latest iteration of the garment is no less capacious....... it's all done in the best possible taste though....
