Is it just sticking to the road between Bwlch and Harbour past Cloggau?
Pretty much Paul. Just stick to the road and bypass the BW that joins the road via the farm.

was just going to mention that
Wales travel ban to start Friday evening
Here's a bit more on the announcement from the Welsh government.
They want to prevent people travelling to Wales if they live in an area of England, Scotland or Northern Ireland that has high levels of coronavirus.
The new restrictions are planned to come into force at 18:00 on Friday.
While it would be illegal to break the rules, it's not clear what action would be taken if people flout the travel ban.
It follows a row between Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford and the prime minister over whether parts of England should have travel restrictions.
Scotland's Nicola Sturgeon has backed Mr Drakeford's calls for such restrictions.

In tier 2 at the moment , which is high risk according to the gov , so it looks like I’m asking for that extension if I can get my holiday week swapped over , the only problem is from nov 1st it’s peak for our customers so all us lowley mechanics are on 6 day weeks and very little chance of holidays until 2nd week in jan ,so I may have to be on best behaviour with a little politeness to the management

Oddly since we've got pretty much the same numbers as Wolves and only 20 miles away, we're only in tier 1

It's not just the current numbers but also the rate of increase in those numbers so two areas: one with low(er) incidence but doubling every week while the other is moderate incidence but fairly static then the first presents a higher risk so would be in tier 2.

If you listen to my left leaning missus, we're only in tier 1 because we've got a conservative council and a conservative MP

The English tier numbers are insane. Tier 1's infection rate per 100k people in England is enough to get an area locked down in Wales.
Also, as much as travel will be banned from Friday, no-one from a Tier 3 area should be travelling for a bike ride anyway IMHO.

Given the near 20k cases today I can't see it getting better any time soon. The restrictions are clearly doing f'all.

So sad... Peaks200 I suppose it'll have to be (that'd be allowed won't it). Thanks MaM. Sorry for your situation of having prepared for it and everything cos at least I managed to get one go...

Or combine the Peak 200 with the North Peak 100 route to get something not far off 300km ??? - That will still be easier than the BB200 2020.

I've said that before Rich. Looking at the rate locally (Craven, tier 1) it equates to around 80 cases. What we don't know is the distribution of them, could be schools, could be care homes, could be evenly spread across all sectors.

Tis all a mess.
Edit - It should also be noted that Powys is now above the level of infections per 100k that the WAG locked down other areas for. Wouldn't be surprised to see it coming.

I'll go out and put some string round gates and scatter some turnips, you'll not know the difference.

I filled from streams. No filter. No squits yet...
Stopped for a pint at the pub in Llanygidr (sp?) with Trepid Explorer and filled up there too.
Nice pub that, coach and horses?
It was The Red Lion. Seemed pleasant enough and was very welcoming to a couple of properly filthy bikepackers.

The two coffees and pint of bitter I had in there definitely kept my spirits up for getting over The Gap.
