And Trekker tent extended my cuben fibre tarp for be more hammock friendly.JohnClimber wrote:DD hammock super light 3x3m tarp.
So the DD will be used in poor weather and the cuben thinner one when the weather's fairer.
Can't wait to get out in the hammock again soon, it's given my BAM a fresh outlook.

Re: The post man's been ...
Today's delivery was a Borah gear bivi bag and a custom Cumulus 150 quilt
and despite ordering them about a week apart, having different lead times and one coming from the US with a stopover in customs and the other coming from Poland they managed to arrive on the same day, as if they knew they'd be together from now on

Re: The post man's been ...
I bought, on a whim, a soshine tc12 usb rechargeable torch from Torchythebatteryboy.
It came with a slightly sub standard bar mount and a super duper battery that burns for 4hrs on full power.
Beam pattern is surprisingly effective.
I have been using it on and offroad and I'm very happy with it.
Might have find a better bar mount though.

A pair of Spesh Fast Track Control in 650 x 2.0 for my Vaya, so I can change between them and the WTB Byways.
At £7 an end, it would be rude not too..
This, I fear, is the final nail in the Fargo's coffin, as the Vaya will now do everything it does.

Not the Postie but the LBS.
Someone forgot the post mount adaptor when ordering bits for a build
the front brake might fit now. Also a longer stem for the same build

What size rims do they need? I have a spare pair of 27.5 wheels with 50mm rims, do you think they might work?ScotRoutes wrote:WTB Byways. 650x47.

Re: The post man's been ...
I reckon pulling a 47c tyre on to a 50mm rim is a big ask, I'd hate to think what the profile would look like. Might be better with these Steve - a nice 2.8" gravel tyre. What size rims do they need? I have a spare pair of 27.5 wheels with 50mm rims, do you think they might work?

Re: The post man's been ...
Cheers stu, they might be just the ticket. To be honest I’d rather sell them and get another pair of 29” wheels and some road based tyres... but no one fancies my wheels and I could make use of them this way.

There's a table on this page http://engineerstalk.mavic.com/en/the-r ... rim-width/ which shows which rim widths will work with which tyre widths - it goes up to roughly 2.5"BigdummySteve wrote:What size rims do they need? Brought me this tyre http://enduro-mtb.com/en/wtb-convict-ti ... and-tough/
As soon aa I lifted it (1.45kg) I had thoughts that I should send it straight. At least I should hopefully never get a puncture up front!!
