One of the deschutes alikes arrived for me, I'll be using it without the inner as I'm a bit on the tall side. It looks like great quality.

A new strap for my traser watch, might wear it instead of my apple watch for bikepacking adventures so I don't have to worry about charging it. Plus a new battery for it
Oh and a pink welly bag for my wife!

After the year I've had, I decided to treat myself and replace my Boardman cx:

Winter boots. Joys of buying in august, snagged them brand new on eBay for £73 instead of £150.

Received a new Garmin Dakota 20 with OS 1:50000 package following Stu's suggestion in another thread that they are out there still. At £170 I think it was quite a good buy (don't upset me now...!) for my first foray into electronic gps gizmos. All I've got to do now is work out how to use it.

Trainline comes up with £183 for a return to Skipton from my local station Long Buckby

but I can get a return to Leeds for £86.50

. From Banbury it's £187.50 but from Rugby £75
In contrast I took a return from Long Buckby to Liverpool at the weekend for £37 return and rode past Skipton station on the Liverpool and Leeds Canal.....
that's crackers. thankfully my tickets were nearer the price of your liverpool ones but i am only heading over from hull.

If I don't do it next year, my book will probably go out of date! But I also fancy the AZT, and can't afford both, assuming I can get the time off for either...

I watched the CTR video that Alan sent out and I just thought "Wow!" The AZT doesn't appeal really, not sure why.

If it's the Deschutes-alike then I am this minute chatting to Stu about it. IIRC he said 122.5cm (IIRC). I have one "in production".

Rab Kinetic Plus soft-shell waterproof. Love the feel of this - soft & stretchy, unlike any other waterproof I've tried. No insulation, but very light, folds up small and ideal for wearing with layers. I think it will get worn a lot in the summer, if it works half as good as the claims.
The bear likes it too...

I thought it looked pretty comfy
