Johnny - like the look of those. Almost enough to try as an alternative to my Luxy's. Where'd you get them from?

Only JE James and Ubyk seem to list them. HE James stock is in fact at the warehouse (cancelled order, fair play they suggested it) and Ubyk have all sizes listed in stock but when I called it was just 42 and 44 cm actually in store.

I had an end-axle cap go missing from one. I bought a replacement and the pedals have soldiered on for over a year now.

I've heard if others losing the axle caps too, so it's certainly worth torquing them up.

Rode 21 miles on them today and they felt brilliant, my shoes stuck the the pedals so well that when I stopped I flicked my heal out to "unclip"
Will have a look at tightening them up and keep my receipt to hand

Just received through the brand new Revelate Designs Mag-Tank from the nice guys up at BackcountryBiking.

Looks like a great bit of kit, far more sealed from the weather than the photos, plus the magnetic fastener works a treat and should make it super easy to reach for my camera/food on the go one handed.

A bridgestreet medium saddle bag and two pairs of rubber/cork almostergon grips for the Big Dummy and Cooker respectively. The dummy has some hideous leather things that matched the Brooks it used to have. Can't wait to jettison them!

20 g overfill on top, 10 g on the back. 850 cuin hydrophobic down. Different type of zip and half length. Custom colour and fabric. 630 g down in a 875 g bag. They made me a very good price too.

It replaces a heavily beaten 13.5 year old Rab Q 600 at 1120 g.

New brakes (and shifters, thanks for introducing non backwards compatible I Spec II Shimano you arseholes) for old faithful.

Master cylinders went on both, and whilst I know how to fix it, I just don't have the time (plus my rear brake has always been iffy anyway).

I hate buying things that aren't upgrades. :(

A Timber Bell. Read about this upthread and couldn't resist. Very pleased with it and it will work well on the shared use paths and cycle lanes I often use. The wife has christened it the Tinkerbell! Probably not original I know.

After neglect over winter and an eye opening ride last week...

Friday the post dropped off a pair of Michelin tyres (retro 26") brake pads and a new cassette.

Hate replacing wear and tear parts but yesterdays ride proved it was long needed as my bike actually rides downhill safely now! Its almost fun on the ups too with working gears

Well I picked it up, but a chain for my bike in time for the WRT

Win for Halfords. I have one about 5 min away by bike. They price matched online for pick up, then got my BC discount on top when I turned up.

Technically that's a big win for my most local LBS, cheaper than wiggle/CRC and immediate pick up. That was at 5.30pm on a Saturday too, I was impressed
