I’ve had a Son delux before on a road bike and the issue I had was that when you are on unlit roads, the moment the slope gets challenging and you are in the climbing gears there is not enough light put out. I had to mount an additional battery light because of this which defeated the object a bit for me. I’m tempted to just live with this and save £185 though tbh.

Not sure it makes much difference
Previously had an exposure branded SP hub and swapped out for a shimano ( better at lower speeds and sp was knackered anyway) but its still the case the slower you go the worse ( less) the light. Its better than before but its not massively different winching slowly up big hills
Sometimes , still, my sinewave beacon flickers ( 4-6 mph ) despite the new hub. Its still a budget hub though and not sure how it compares with either of the Son.
Essentiwlly dyno lights have positives ( always work) and negatives ( variable output)
I generally cyxle on my commute so know the unlit roads well.so that mught make me more comfortable ? I dont road ride for fun
What light do you use ? I wonder if the more floody German road lights are better on thenroad but its quite expensive tonget one to see

I have the Supernova E3. The son 28 I have on my 650b wheels doesn’t have the uphill issue. I guess that could be in part to the smaller wheel size.

Can't include a link for some reason, but Planet X are doing front and rear Sram Rival mechanical shifters (1x11, not hydro brakes) for £19.99 an end, so £39.98 plus postage. I bought some a while back and mine also came with cables. They weren't this cheap when I got them though!

It's likely the old Lyon stock.

They have a 'seconds' 56cm too if that's a better size, although I reckon buying just the frameset at £1250 and building it up yourself could work out better: https://www.lyonequipment.com/bikes

Stop it now, I've just bought another bike and I can't afford a divorce... 54cm for me

Even the lesser spec cutthroat at £1900 looks pretty good. The frameset price is very good and I used to always want one, but i'm now very much falling out of love with gravel bikes it seems...

I've used them for a couple of things including 2 sets of XT SPD pedals. No issues here :-bd

Never used it, so it’s not a recommendation

Does anyone subscribe to GoPro each year for editing or storage?
I'm just cancelling mine as I don't use it
But halfway through the cancellation process it offers you a 50% discount if you don't cancel for the next year.
Handy if you are staying on and want to save some money.
But I'm cancelling anyway.
Note it doesn't cancel straight away, you still have access until your full 12 months is up.

Spotted OS Maps subscription 50% off today on STW.

https://shop.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/os-ma ... 4133e8fd45

There's mention of "affiliate" in the URL so assume STW gets a kick-back.

Smashing price I thought I had a deal last week at £20. Really great valves, made tyre swap so much easier. Still Stan's race is a bit tricky to inject through them.
