Mine turned up today too.
Bought the cheapo version and its exactly the same as a DD camping hammock just £12ish cheaper and no zip on the side between the two layers.
Not super light at ~850g but not hideous either.
A light, thin piece of open cell foam would insulate from underneath.

If your not planning on hammocking in bug season it's ideal.

I suspect the other versions with the bug nets are DD hammocks in disguise too.

Seriously though, I've only had the chance to play around with my tarp and hammock so far but I'm pretty pleased with them.

It would be nice if my tarp (cornelius) had some ridge line loops on the outer face though. Would make the it that bit more versatile. At present if I need to guy the centre of the tarp I use the pebble trick which works but would be so much easier if the loops were there already.

I doubt it Nevis but good to know for future purchases though :D

I shall be testing some Tenth Wonder hammocks out over the coming weekend ... so there should be a review on the main site sometime next week for all the 'swinging curious' out there

Arrived today, a Hornet jungle hammock and a lightweight double layer one. The Hornet will be tried in anger over the weekend ... first impressions look very good :D

Got myself a Hennesey hammock a few years ago.
Its pretty nifty, especially with the built in mossy net, but I dont use it that much as it weighs more than a bivvy bag and sleeping pad combo, and I also have to bring extra insulation for the bottom.
I had a funny experience on the Gower with it tho. Woke up in the middle of the night with some sheep eating the grass underneath me!
All in all a good product, but seems more conditions dependant than bivvy bag/tent. Ie: Not windy, (rocking and cold), and of course you need some well placed trees.

She asked me last week what I wanted for my birthday but I didn't know then.
It saves here struggling to buy me something so it'll be a very short visit to the naughty step I expect.

Apparently she's already ordered a birthday prezzie so she was slightly cross and she did mention selling an existing hammock!
