That would be good if anyone knows anything? - currently I get the Lyon coffee bag things as the next best thing when lightweight on the move. Glamping (what most people prob call camping but I count it as glamping!) I can bring whatever I want... so is a non issue.

Good call, I did think of using a similar phone ziplock bag I have but it doesn't fold up that well / small compared to the bag the coffe comes in (which I think is my answer really..). Pour N Stores, are they pretty durable or better for once-only use?
I may get a small thick drybag, cut the clips off and use that with a roll + tie/wrap closure.

My wife just uses a freezer bag for her supply of ground coffee. Puts it in the cup and makes sure that there's nothing else in there that has sharp edges or points that could puncture it. Not had an "incident" so far.

They're pretty tough, been using them for a few years now and haven't thrown any away yet.

I keep ground coffee in a ziplock bag inside a freezer bag (if I don't take the big 250g bag of coffee)

I use a GSI ultralight filter java drip thing with it

I've never seen a video like this, is there anything specific you'd like to know about loading up a bike? For me it's just a case of figure out what kit goes in which bag. Stuff it in, then strap everything to the bike, I don't the order or process is particularly important, unless I'm missing your requirement.

My DD Hammocks Jura 2 sleeping bag was bought with canoe camping in mind. I like to sleep off the ground in a hammock and the Jura is ideal for that, with a cordura footwell and a centre zip that makes it easy to get in and out of while in the hammock. But..... Its bulk and weight make it wrong for bikepacking, as I've been finding out.

Can someone recommend a centre zipped 3 season down bag? Preferably not too dear. Or has anyone tried one of these new-fangled quilts in a hammock. Will they be OK for that?

I thought quilts and hammocks went hand in hand?

Taylor and Cheeky monkey are yer men for hammocks and as far as I know both use quilts when they're hanging.

There'd be the usual compressing of down if your using a sleeping bag making it useless on the bottom.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I use a Thermarest to stave off the chilly bottom when hammocking. It's not ideal and I'm sure an underquilt is better, but the thermarest gives me the option to sleep on the ground under the tarp if there are no suitable trees about.

So, I'll now have to scour the web for a quilt. I won't ask for suggestions because it's been done already and I can search the forum for that. I have a birthday coming up in September. Time to start dropping hints ;-)
