Might be able to do forks - the On One carbon rigids off the Pegasus are kind of going spare now as the steerer is too short for the Shand. What length steerer do we need?

Have a small collection of seat clamps too, if someone can confirm size.

Hi All, just to clarify, if Ian has a fork (the one he mentions is much more suitable if it's a 470mm 29er fork that can fit std 1 1/8" head tube) then this is what's needed for me to complete a bike here-
Looks like a longer front fork and a disc/QR front wheel are the main needs, or a disc wheelset would mean discs can go on F+R. Seems Ray's got the crank and BB sorted. The frame's a 68mm BSA BB shell. Martin, I could just box up what's here to post next week and you and your sister's fella could get spannering?

edit to add, ray's got pedals and Stu's got rings and an RD, so just the bits ^ there to figure out. I'll move the tyre pile tomorrow and if I find a F wheel and manage to escape from under the rubber avalanche I'll post it up.
So we're only short of that in bold above and a plan to consolidate parts - post to Martin would cost more but only really from my/Ians/any wheel donors end. But don't let what I have here limit what's up for use, not sure how to evaluate and consolidate a bigger list of options though. Stu?!

Gari, great stuff : ) disc front and V rear is sorted then and I have 2 cable disc calipers in case of a future wheel upgrade.
Ian, I'll measure the steerer now.

Post to either me for Martin to collect a complete bike, or Stu, Ian, Gari and Ray can post on their parts to Martin and along with what I have it'll all be complete? Martin, your call. Building your own bike is a good thing if you're happy to have a go, likewise I have all I need to do it here.

I think we need:
Seat clamp ... what size is it?
Forks

What have I missed? I know it'll be something blindingly obvious
I have some QR skewers (F&R). Are these needed or suitable for the wheels we have??
Can anyone confirm?

I would not mind building it myself, that way i can get an even greater feeling when out on it.
Plus i enjoy building things.
And some people already have my address to send the parts.

If i do get any spares or doubles then i will gladly send them back to the owner or post on to someone else who is in need.

Thanks

Is there a chain?

I have some odds and sods (but not a chain). Will wait to see what is needed at the "end" to avoid muddying the waters (does that make me sound like an indian giver ;-) )

Good to go then. Head tube is 110mm and it has a 20mm stack 'Intellaset' headset, will include another complete other headset in case it's needed.

Chain, good point.. Not got any spare here aside from spare SS chains.

I've no doubt got some used ones but seeing as the rings are new and the cassette's as good as, it'd seem a shame not to fit a new chain ... I'm sure Martin'll be able to raid the housekeeping for one.

I recall On-One were doing some Selcof(?) 9spd chains for about a tenner.

Oh im sure i can sort out a new chain for a tenner.
And dont worry it will be ridden most every day.
will even take lots of pics to show how happy i am when riding her.

One question.........is there any BearBones Bikepacking frame stickers.
I can see you do top/hoodies etc but no stickers.....????

Nope, no stickers ... the reality is that quality ones seem too expensive and cheap ones aren't worth bothering with. I will look into it again though.

What you'll be needing is a BB200 badge for your frame bag but you can't buy one ... you'd have to 'earn' it

I was reading about them earlier, i think a nice green one will be in my future.
Maybe a black one in a few years time lol

I will have to talk to a mate who makes stickers for our 4x4 repsonse team and see what they would cost.
I think they would be a fitting tribute on my bike to the forum that built her.
