Yeah, want Ed and Donncha to reel in Jason. 2 brits and an irish man for podium.

Give it a few more days on that diet and Jason will be farting rusty water.

Mike Hall did a call in on MTBCast, he got 5 hours sleep last night, having only had 3.5hours total up to that point. Must be knackered. He's aiming for rawlins by end of tomorrow. He is flying.

Scores on the doors, whilst Mikes Spot has updated

Mike
+48 Miles - Jason
+123 Miles - Ed
+72 Miles - Donncha
+5 Miles - Jesse
+105 Miles - Peleton

Jasons closed up to Mike and away from Ed. The gaps were ~100 miles yesterday

Jasons on the part of the route which is shared by both the Trans Am and Tour Divide route.

Great views of the mountain range you've crossed earlier

And a perfectly timed stop for the hail thunder storms

More split updates :geek:

Mike

+128 Miles - Ed
+73 Miles - Donncha
+15 Miles - Jesse
+61 Miles - Peleton

Mikes pulled out more of a gap over Jason, with the Peleton chasing down Jesse

Down hill for a bit longer for mike, then a big climb followed by an 800mile descent (well, more or less....)

Jason is now only 70ish miles behind Mike, but it appears Jason is sleeping (no movement for 3hrs), Mike is still riding! Ed has been overtaken by Donncha, I guess Ed is in a motel in Lander (where Mike was getting worried about getting mugged outside McDs!)

I just looked at the back of the pack and was thinking there was a real straggler. Until I read his age: http://trackleaders.com/transam14i.php? ... mas_Camero

I love MH's british-ness when we tweets that he is sorry for lack of contact. Chuffed he put Harrogate on his home location this year.

Mike's about to hit 200 miles of dead straight road across Kansas. Yawn.

Just started to read 'Hell On Two Wheels' again after a week of Trans-Am watching. Recommended .. a bit sensationalist but it does simply try to get across the dark places that riders can end up in after too many hours on the bike.
Did a 300km audax-type event this weekend, pretty flat but ridden overnight 8.30pm till the next morning with one brief refill stop. Was trying to imaging mixing that with real multi-day fatigue and a dose of tired-craziness. To me the idea of being on the road so long is much more intimidating than the same duration off-road, no variation in what you do, just grinding out the miles with plenty of time to retreat into your mind. Mental stuff indeed.

Chew, great pic of the Tetons there. I love a bit of mountain p0rn and couldn't take my eyes off the views from that road by Jackson Lake.

Mikes up very early this morning, putting in the miles already with a shorter rest than the chasers (Jason and Ed still sleeping when i checked)

Trackleaders site says it just after 3am... but saying that they could be in a different time zone by now, given the distance they have travelled.
Anyone know there the time boundaries are they have to cross?
