No. Its a protracted official process, usually strongly opposed by the Ramblers association.
Not if the land owner grants permission for that event surely, a la the 3 Peaks CX? Not saying they would, but.....
Even then the farmer/landowner might not have the last say. There are several fell races around here where the landowner is happy (or at least not unhappy) for the event to take place but statutory bodies like English Nature object so while the events do go ahead they are limited in numbers and that's on CRoW land as well with most of the route on footpaths/BWs and vehicle tracks.

Planning on a little tour round one of the gravel routes this coming weekend, can anyone recommend suitable spots for a bivvy? Thinking somewhere just south of Tod, and then somewhere on the SW side of Bradford. Good café/pub stop recommendations also welcomed.
