But surely it's easy to find the valve in those circumstances as it's opposite the logo on the hub.Find the valve quicker (like in winter, when snow is hiding it)

Which I thought was a similar reason to lining tyre logos up: shows attention to detail. There's no practical reason to line the hub logo up with the valve hole when building a wheel, but you do it to demonstrate attention to detail and pride in your work. Same as the cabinetmaker who makes sure even the hidden joints are near.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:05 amBut surely it's easy to find the valve in those circumstances as it's opposite the logo on the hub.Find the valve quicker (like in winter, when snow is hiding it)

Agreed. It's harder to align the valve with the logos because you have to hold the tyre stationary and turn the wheel, which I think is harder than holding the wheel and turning the tyrethenorthwind wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 7:21 pmDunno, but at least we weren't going the other way.voodoo_simon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 3:40 pm How did we go from travelling over the border into wales to aligning the tyre logo with valves*![]()

Textbook BBB thread deviation.
Irrespective of how much snow there is, surely the valve will still be attached to the wheelScotRoutes wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 10:16 amApart from help finding the valve in the snow. There's no practical reason to line the hub logo up with the valve hole when building a wheel,![]()
