Where's the cafe in that shot?
Just out of shot Bob ... by about 13 miles.

Flippin' 'eck if we've got to get as far as Big Rock caff I'm in trouble

. That's Ian-capability is that. Unless there's a new branch in Mach. Intrigued why they only make dinosaurs on Saturdays as well, I'd be gutted if I only managed to get there by Sunday morning and missed them. "Guando" as well, must be some sort of baked Welsh bat poo delicacy.

Llanbrynmair appears to be annoying right on the edge of several different OS maps! Guess I will be asking santa for a new map library. Don't want to get the GRs and not be able to plot them all! Are the 1:25000 scales the best for this kind of thing?

Mrs Tiger and I are in. Hope the weather is as good as last year.

I think so. Locally, there's a number of very good tracks that are clearly marked on the 1:25k but with absolutely no mention on 1:50k.

I had to read that to myself a few times. How odd!

It should be noted what Stu's idea of a good track is...
I'd wager anything where the tussocks only come to waist level, and the rivers can be forded without the need to swim.

Agreed.
If I recall correctly the saturday started like this:
then it started raining which got progressively harder over the course of about 8 hours, bouncing down by 6pm (which necessitated a
hefty pub stop in Llanuwchlyn) until it finally brightened up at about 10pm. Absolutely freezing overnight then raining most of Sunday again.
Great days.

I missed last year, and have just entered - before seeing the pics in this thread! I'm not sure if I'm inspired or scared..

Anyone going from East Yorkshire (Hull and surrounding)?
Sharing a lift might encourage me to “be more Mike”

Not as such but obviously people are welcome to sort something out between themselves - 'tis potentially quite a social affair.

As ever, Star Inn night before acts as a jolly LHC 'pick-up joint'. Talking of which, if anyone's hoping to nip in quick and bag the penthouse suite with rooftop hot tub and on-call masseuse - sorry, I've already nabbed it

. And booked my bike to Caersws station yet again, arriving about 2.15pm Friday, whence I shall battle through the towering snowdrifts to the Star. Masochists welcome to join me on that part of the trip although I can't guarantee we'll reach our destination unscathed. Or indeed at all. Not sure about rest of weekend yet - apparently my people are in high-level discussions with other people's people.

I've made no plans.... Not even sure if driving over Fri after work or doing my Saturday early morning warp speed cross country dash!

I might take this as an excuse to buy a properly insulated mat. None of the ones I have can handle anything under about 12c.
(There's not as much meat on me to keep me warm as there once was)

Oh, and I'll be at The Star too... probably stay up somewhat later than I did for the BB200.
LATE NEW YEAR PARTY!

At last... I have managed to enter a BB event.
Time will tell if that is something I'll regret.
