For hill climbing agony:
(Lower gears to enable carrying of more weight to extend hill efforts)

Gwyn the post has delivered a small bottle of what might be the worlds most expensive and high tech' chain lube ... it promises great things, more to follow.

That's usually the sort I find washes off half way through a ride in UK conditions.

We shall see ... I plan to pop my chain in the ultra-sonic bath later so we can start with a clean slate.

You mean it works on chains that cost less than £120? I don't believe it...

Last time I used an ultrasonic bath it took the plating off my fancy rust proof chain. Not so rust proof any more.

I think it might have had more to do with the fluid that I used rather than the quality of said chain...

I don't understand. How can it be agony when you've got those gears to choose from?

D'oh. Looks like I'll be adding a long cage 10 speed dérailleur to the shopping list. It will go into the gear, but not well, and the chain is so damn long that my mid cage can't take up the slack.

Or get a wolf tooth hanger/extender. Input one on my gravel bike and it solved the same issues you have. £20ish. Cheaper than a mech

Thanks to a thread on STW I bought another wallet - a Hackett x Trove
It's very minimalist, though I now have 2 wallets
Hoping it's easier to now put my wallet in the same pocket as my phone when I'm running a quick local errand on the bike (keys in the other pocket)

a Hackett x Trove
Thirty quid
- does it come with money already in it? However, it does look quite smart, nearly as smart as my 4g cuben wallet.

Project dangly gears progresses
Just need to decide on what spokes - any recommendations?
So far I've got DT swiss competition or Sapin Race on the list

I've just built a pair using Alpina spokes, they seem as good as Sapim or DT but are a fair bit cheaper.

Actually the Hackett one is more
It's smarter than I expected, still heavier than a cuben one though

I did mention the alpkit wallit on that thread, £5 and waterproof!
