Off to the smoke to row in a set of races up and down the Thames. Sadly it clashes with the rugby which means lots of posh idiots shouting at us from riverside pubs

My first 'proper' festival in about 15 years. So I'm 40, not 25. My back hurts constantly, the closest thing to narcotics is codine, I'm in a campervan instead of a leaky tent and I've brought a yoga mat and smoothies for morning recovery, rather than hair of the dog.

Just about to head to 'Rock Fit' for a morning workout, second day running. After yoga of course

CF!!
Not exactly the Monsters of Rock is it

Cheery for me as I'm going to knock off at 12 and go to the pub. Part of my prep for the 'Grand Old Dukes' gravel sportive on Sunday

Cheery enough

It's over two months now since my back threw it's toys out of the pram, and I've barely turned a pedal since.

However, it survived Download last weekend (which got much sillier than my previous post implied!), so surly it can survive Jennride?!

Bike packed for a trip to Staveley tomorrow morning, which brings me much happiness. It'll only go one of two ways

Cheery ride for me in sunshine and warmth, bit rare around these parts! New drivechain on the old Ridgeback, nice ๐Ÿ‘

Was very cheery as I abandoned the heap at blair athol and peddled up glen tilt which was extremely pleasant. Tarp free bivvy then many miles of great trails today. Now at friends house for barby and beer. :-bd

Thanks Pete! It was indeed Ace! And the back felt/feels OK

Some interesting weather overnight, with very heavy rain, thunder and lightning. I was glad to be camped in Langdale valley, and not out on the hills. Lovely 'gravel' route, although it probably wouldn't have been so lovely on a gravel bike.
