Re: The post man's been ...
A large multi-layered parcel. Couldnt recall ordering anything that size so started to open it. First layer was a doubled over plastic postage bag. Inside that was another doubled over plastic postage bag. Inside that were two layers of bubble wrap, itself tightly wrapped with sticky tape. And inside that was not what you would call the most fragile object ever delivered to Chez BrownDog ... a fat tyre inner tube. Madness, I tell you.
I'm just going outside ...

For post-WRT-gearing lowering: A 23T rear (Nexus) sprocket for my Alfine 11. Hopefully it fits OK -having read conflicting reports. looks like it will... just need to find the links I removed when I fitted the new chain and 20t sprocket pre-WRT.
and a clever C-Tek battery charger for the car, until I can discover what's draining the battery when it's left for a few days... oh the irony of keeping a 4.4 V8 plugged into the mains when it's parked at home!

Re: The post man's been ...
Some Endura Singletrack bib liners. Designed to be worn under baggies so have mesh panels on the legs and back but I hadn't realised they also have a clever cut on the front, bit like an old Y front, to make stopping for a comfort break much easier than normal bibs

I've not tried them on yet so can't comment on how comfortable they. If they are ok under baggies I'll be able to save my best bibs for wearing on their own on the bigger xc rides and wear these under baggies when messing about in the woods. I tend to wear baggies when out with my mates riding the local trails as knee pads with lycra shorts is not a good look for a man of may age

@Mariner - my Borah bivy is exactly the same (but in black) - postbox style mosi net and tabs in all corners
I picked up 4 pairs of fancy Vulpine socks from the Vulpine sample sale yesterday
Lots of stuff in the sale, but I already have too many jackets, gilets and jerseys

There was one of those taking shots at the weekend of that group of 4x4's on the track from Little Langdale to High Tilberthwaite. Making a right racket, you couldn't hear the drone

Re: The post man's been ...
I have to say I had not noticed that!
Had I have done, I could have fixed it before sending it to you
Still, at least it was cheap!
