A 20t alfine sprocket and kmc chain to lower the gearing on my fortitude. Low miles so far means that I could have just changed the sprocket but the existing chain wasn't long enough.

Two big fat OnOne BSC tyres. The ones with white walls. Something snapped in my mind last week and I found myself entering the Ride London 100 and deciding to do it on my Fatty. The BSCs at 20psi are just a tad easier than Floaters at 8.

A bit heavy but it's mainly to try for commuting- tired of a rucsac, don't want panniers again. This has a nice quick release to carry in to the office so may just do the job. Pretty cheap from wiggle too.

If should also let the other half carry a bit more on the front of her bike than a normal dry bag when we go to France in the summer- lifts it up a bit

Some Surley Cheater Bars from Charlie the Bikemonger in Swanage. I actually bought these in the shop on Saturday but as I'd ridden there from the Isle of Wight, a 75 mile round trip, I thought it easier to get the postman to bring them back than try and carry a 780mm long handlebar on my bike

Fresh from the powder coaters, a gloss black butchers bike frame, mudguards, basket holder and a few bits. Looks very smart! It needs new chrome bits now, and a nice brown leather saddle.

Torus bikes Ti bars, 730mm 9deg sweep. £95. They are almost 100g lighter than Thomson Ti bars, which I read are basically super strong, but have none of that Ti twang, plus they are more expensive.

Stu, not yet. The butchers bike came from MILs garage, and I thought would be an intro to old bikes. I keep looking at path racers, but nothing has caught my eye at the right price yet. I did find a "cyclemotor" on eBay that looked fun, but I might end up with too many bikes that never get ridden (I can't imagine where I am going to actually use a butchers bike yet!)

This is my first lightweight sleeping bag. It's very light. It also seems quite translucent. I'm hoping I haven't made a grave error of judgement.

On the other hand, I ordered the XL and it seems like a pretty comfy fit so I'm happy with that.
