^could be worse, I'm still paying for my Silk Road which seems to be intrinsically the same bike....felt a bit sick when I saw the email from PX this morning! Probably would've gone for the Rocky Road version had it been available but its release was delayed at the time, with no eta.
Really enjoying my Silk Road, so think someone will get a real bargain there.

^ but of course you do
PX told me the seat stay bosses on this and the Silk Road were to allow the use of the Trek 1120 rack. Apparently they were going to get a bespoke ti rack made to go with, but decided they'd be too expensive...

I assume you were right in reading it wrong

as it appears to cost £1299 on their website.
Wonder what sort of ride it is and whether it's any good? .... especially as they say some cheaper carbon frames are worse than a good aluminium frame etc and hence although it's titanium, i wonder whether it can be a similar thing ie cheaper titanium not as good as a similar price Ali frame etc?

I think it was just a 24hr deal on Saturday
I've only done a couple of hundred miles on my Goldrush so far but it's a lovely ride, it feels equally as good as my Sonder Broken Road, I wouldn't be surprised if they came out of the same factory.

Me neither. No, really. I mean it this time. It's really doesn't matter than my Big Bro is 4kg heavier that this thing, or that I just fitted it with a new set of wheels. No. I don't need ANOTHER bike either.

Yep she's a chunky thing. Brother Cycles lists the medium as 13.5kg, but that's without pedals. Mine is an XL, actually has pedals and I swapped the flat bars for some Surly Sunrisers which are 800g ... it all adds up.

Jones + is 12.5kg with placcy rims and bars, single speed.
ICT 15kg, Kramp 14. Heavy bikes are really good on downhills

PlanetX have 29+ (29x3-3.5) inner tubes on for £0.99 at the minute! Maybe small, but a bit of a bargain given that 29+ tubes are normally in the £8-10 region.

PX doing 25% off their Ti Rocky Road rigid 29er (£1,039), and the GX Titus version (£1,799). Both decent alternatives to the likes of the Bombtrack Beyond +, though not quite as much clearance on the back (good for 2.6 though). Not XD wheelsets either which might limit cassette choices, but still....

Wiggle doing the Maxxis Ardent TR 29 x 2.25 for half price at 28.99 which is significantly cheaper than anywhere else. I've been using the non TR version and finding it good, so have ordered one of these to go on the new Dyno wheel

Don’t know if it’s waterproof, don’t really know how breathable it is. I do know it’ll just cost you postage however.
