Well I woke up on Lord Rothschild's front lawn this morning so that's pretty damn impressive I reckon.

Brilliant!

I've just submitted a job application, so I guess there are cheery aspects to that: it's done, so I don't have to do it any longer, and whilst I'm not a fan of going to work in general, bike parts are not free, and this one will pay for them at a faster rate.

In completely unrelated news, my workbench is conspicuously tidy, and we're out of coffee.

Finished a Laburnum bow that's been fighting me every step. Dee's off to a Medieval festival for the weekend (starting next Thursday) so just in time then.

Also part whatever of a major barn tidy with the hope of discovering the floor so I can concrete it - somehow I'm finding the process quite relaxing.

.... and, this afternoon, I found out that the dogs are scared of mushrooms, really.

Just finished 5 days of mid waleshire (didn’t realise how close I was staying to Stu until the last day), went into two caves, one castle visit with a long walk to it (sadly no Birds rock as it wouldn’t have been mini/voodoos idea if fun), much wildlife seen and many low jets too Went to the alternative technology centre (what a place!, spent much time in the hot tub and got rear ended on the way home

All in all, great holiday.

Although I’ve cycled in the area, didn’t realise how many activities were there for families, cracking spot to explore. Perhaps a sweeping statement but certainly felt the area welcomed tourists more than the lakes (our usual go to), seemed so much more do there (which can be good or bad depending…!)

A Rega Planar 3 50th Anniversary Edition and Fono MM MK5 to go along with. My daughter has had my old Pro-Ject Debut III for the last couple of months and I'm getting a bit fed up having to listen to my new purchases while looking at posters of Taylor Swift. Been after a reason to upgrade to a Planar 3 for ages, the anniversary edition made it a no-brainer with all the extra upgrades.



New brakes for the gravel bike and a new crankset for the MTB, will now have to wait...

Great choice. Can't go wrong with them. Looks good too. I had a friend who put a small blue led directed towards the clear platter. Looked great in the dimmer lighting. My Daughter is also a Swifty and has all her releases on vinyl. Looks like she's caught the bug and is now moving into less poppy music now. All about planting seeds.

Lots of happy holiday memories at croyde bay & woolacoombe. I remember cycling up to Woolacoombe Down past the mast was a tough toil. Then out to Ilfracombe down the cycle way and back over Fullabrook &Metacombe Down ber fun (bridleway 2+miles). (South of A3123, East of A316. NE of Braunton.).

The 23% climb out of woolacombe to get back to croyde wouldn’t be fun

Mrs Perrin didn't think that was funny at all. Which probably explains why we've muddled happily along together for 40 years.

Or use the NCN27 cycle way*, from the carpark below the down, to Vention, above Putsborough beach. Over Stenaway lane into croyde, alternatively via Combas farm, but the bridle way may be muddy. Georgeham is best avoid is as it's is narrow & takes a lot of holiday traffic..

*NCN27, compacted stoney track, a little muddy around gully nr Vention. That was my experience 3 years ago. Hopefully the Cafe is still there , about half of NCN Woolacoombe to Vention bridleway.
