Always a bit of a lottery with their stuff IMO variously the fit, quality, cost etc. Got some of their stuff stil going strong 15 years on and other bits utter poor show.redefined_cycles wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:56 amLast time I bought summat from them was bout 10 years ago (just when they had been bought back from the Big Investors whom they weren't too happy with AFAIR). Might just treat myself again
This is what happened with my said purchase. The collar was big enough for 2 people but otherwise a lovely jersey. Ended up selling it on on ebay...Cheeky Monkey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 1:46 pmAlways a bit of a lottery with their stuff IMO variously the fitredefined_cycles wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:56 amLast time I bought summat from them was bout 10 years ago (just when they had been bought back from the Big Investors whom they weren't too happy with AFAIR). As always, I'm conflicted. It's great that stuff is available more cheaply but tough on the original designers. The Cumbrian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 1:31 pm Chinese version of TOGs:

I haven't tried them, but I've ordered some to compare against the originals that I've got on my mountain bike.
I know what you mean. I've justified it to myself because I've already got two sets (one on my mountain bike, the other waiting to go on my old hybrid that I'm beefing up a little). I've always ridden with my thumbs over the top of the bars where I could so I was pretty sure that I'd like them before I bought them, and TOGs give an incredible amount of extra control. Six quid vs twenty five quid is a big difference for those who are unsure though.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 1:56 pmAs always, I'm conflicted. FWIW I have two sets (originals) and I'm considering a 3rd, so I'm a convert.
No idea ...BITEOFTB
Beauty (is) in the eye... took me a while too.
Hmmm. I've seen them before and considered trying them because I think they'd be useful. Even if I was sure, there's no way I'm spending £25 on them. Which is one way of justifying it - they're not losing a sale, because at £25 a sale was never a possibility. Still feels a bit wrong so I probably won't bother.ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 1:56 pmAs always, I'm conflicted. Yep - that's the other side of the coin and I'm not even going to try to deny that I've also bought cheaply on that basis.Even if I was sure, there's no way I'm spending £25 on them. Which is one way of justifying it - they're not losing a sale, because at £25 a sale was never a possibility
Advert is 4 years old. I always think massive road bikes just look awkward. Fair play to the bloke, hes given the idea of selling it some real thought. I realise that a 60cm frame isnt necessarily going to look great with skinny pipes but it just looks like a gate to me.slarge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:27 amAdvert is 4 years old.
