Some Mavic Alpine XL's from All terrain at last!
For anyone that's interested, they seem very similar to Salomon running shoes using a similar shape and the same sort of insole.

You know me all to well Ben! (actually I do have a pinarello singlespeed that I commute on)
Had an offer that I couldn't turn down, so I'm making it into a road bike. Think it will be a little different to my old 853 steel road bike that I'm currently riding

I've joined the quilt club. A summer fill top quilt from UK Hammocks was waiting for me when I got home today. Seems very nicely made and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

A few more boxes arrived today.....
Raceface single ring chainset, absolute black wobbly n/w ring, xt clutch mech and shifter, headset, rotors. It's amazing how few parts are interchangable when swapping frames....

Ooh. That's looks nice! I've just binned my Hornit. It might have 140db but no one actually reacts or even seems to hear it.s8tannorm wrote:Some bling-a-ring-ding brought home by Dee from a visit to the outside World and Keep Pedalling ... 'Tis a thing of great beauty![]()

Those airshot things are interesting. It makes me wonder how many tyre swaps you'd need to be making to make it a better option than CO2.
I imagine they're fantastic if you're a racer though.
