Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Some nice savings there for our XS and XL brethren. Sadly nowt for us M's as usual. A the top of their banner it says 19th Dec, then below it's 16th, so who knows what's going on

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I googled "inner gimp" and this came up. I believe PHD offer these outfits on the "dark" part of their website?

They had a nice hooded down jacket in M when I was browsing last week. But I talked myself out of it, I don't need another insulated jacket!

I continue to wait (futiley) ((is that a word?)) for a K-series Waferlite Jacket to go into the Bargain Box at 90% off.

The HyperLamina Spark is now even cheaper. It was a bargain at £100 but at less than £70, it's even betterer.

Not sure where to post this or even if I should but
there is a Raleigh Firefly M that looks in good nick over on CTC Forum for £15.

Nothing to do with me just thought someone might want to rescue it given the recent best bike love fest.

Zazen - nothing happens next this is it.
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
It's in excellent condition. I'd originally intended to break and sell the components, but it's just too good to split.
If it doesn't sell at this bargain price of £15 before Xmas, I'll split it in the new year.

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Nuffin' to do with bikes, but maybe useful for moving one's bike and one's self to a different location - the start point of a BaM for example.
CrossCountryTrains 25% off journeys between 13th - 31st January (JUST missing our Winter Event - blast). Advance Singles. Can add railcards on top too. Code "JAN25". Mike could use it to get to Scotland

They also have the Thermarest equivalent (bit heavier) at £15: https://georgefisher.co.uk/collections/ ... 0-l-orangeThe Cumbrian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:51 pmGreat bit of kit, I use mine on my Exped mat and my Thermarest Uberlite.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:48 pm Exped, Schnozzel

Are they cross-compatible the other way? i.e. could you use a Thermarest pump sack to inflate an Exped mat?

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I doubt it, the Snozzle fits internally into the Exped valve, and has to be forced over the Thermarest valve, which can be a faff with cold fingers. I saw an article a while ago where someone had shaved a little bit off the inside diameter of the Snozzle valve to make it a better fit on Thermarests, but I haven't bothered.thenorthwind wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:24 pmThey also have the Thermarest equivalent (bit heavier) at £15: https://georgefisher.co.uk/collections/ ... 0-l-orangeThe Cumbrian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:51 pmGreat bit of kit, I use mine on my Exped mat and my Thermarest Uberlite.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:48 pm Exped, Schnozzel

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Is this gonna be a strong bit of kit to use as a multifubction drybag and pillow (stuffed) and whatever else.. or is it flimsy (not that thermarest are known for flimsiness)thenorthwind wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:24 pmThey also have the Thermarest equivalent (bit heavier) at £15: https://georgefisher.co.uk/collections/ ... 0-l-orangeThe Cumbrian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:51 pmGreat bit of kit, I use mine on my Exped mat and my Thermarest Uberlite.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:48 pm Exped, Schnozzel

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I use my Snozzle as a liner inside my rucsac when backpacking, and it's easily strong enough for that. I wouldn't use it as a standalone drybag though.redefined_cycles wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:32 pmIs this gonna be a strong bit of kit to use as a multifubction drybag and pillow (stuffed) and whatever else.. or is it flimsy (not that thermarest are known for flimsiness)thenorthwind wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 3:24 pmThey also have the Thermarest equivalent (bit heavier) at £15: https://georgefisher.co.uk/collections/ ... 0-l-orangeThe Cumbrian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:51 pmGreat bit of kit, I use mine on my Exped mat and my Thermarest Uberlite.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 12:48 pm Exped, Schnozzel

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Yeah, I ordered one in large for myself (being a Yorkshire ex-pat). Mine came this morning and looks to be decent quality and the full zip which will be nice for ventilation on hot summer days (remember those?redefined_cycles wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:26 pmOrdered myself 2 in large... 1 for me and another for a mate (could be on here if someone that likes such a thing wins the cold bivy comptechno mail wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 11:54 pm Yorkshire jerseys, £10. https://milltag.cc/collections/mens-jer ... 7777343518.. just saying).
