I've still got a flat rear tyre, lights that need charging, wood to cut for the brazier on Sunday, gazebos to sort out, signs to put up, tipi to erect, signing on sheets to print off (hopefully people have stopped withdrawing now), etc, etc, etc ... I'm kinda hoping the ride will be a rest

I'm using an XS size Exped dry bag (sleeping bag, bivvy bag, spare top). Food in the H-bar bag. Bit more food, gillet and first aid kit in frame bag. Tools in saddle bag.

Overall, I think it's less than last year, where I had a small Tiger fitted too.

Maybe the picture then. Just seemed to be quite a lot around the bars.

Brilliant, I took a bike as pillion to the Alps once, you might want to consider a reflector on the rear there, I got pulled once by the cops, they just wanted a look, but recommended one, I used to mount the wheels on the side of the cycle frame so it was easy to make a travelling rear squewer with a big triangular truck reflector.

good luck everyone - trying not to sulk too much here.

Will definitely be back to do next years - even if i have to leave the kids at home with a stack of videos for the weekend . . . either that or get them to do it too, not sure which would be worse in terms of child crulety!
