Marvellous! Cheered me up no end too. Even after some tw@t tw@tted the back of Mrs P's motor and possibly written it off. Just as she wants to take us on hols. Mines currently in the shed with the lump two thirds of the way to being in bits, scuppered due to the lack of a 3/8"W socket.... Still cheery through as I'm relaxing with a beer after a hectic week at work, contemplating weekend bike rides in the face of an average forecast.

It's fine Gian - although navigating our stone lane is a slowish process. Yes, rear's rigid albeit with an inch or so on the seat springs.Must be nice feel with hardly any suspension on it. Rear seems rigid?

Looks incredible Stu
"Pleasant"... is that really the experience you were aiming for?
Must be really satisfying after all the work you've put into it.

My mate had a z650 hard tail for a while I had a bit of a BLAST ? On, thought I’d need traction afterwards

As I'm buying a new (to me) car (van actually) I thought I should make a bit of an effort to look after it. Ended up down the rabbit hole that is car detailing. Because of the way the internet works I then get this in my social feed.

It's Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray, it's dirt repelling, restores, enhances and protects. Not sure which of my interests it's aimed at, do I spray it on the underneath of the van or on my own undercarriage

C***d symptoms cleared enough to contemplate a longer ride
The sun is shining and my roadie/tour/audax bike is parked outside work ready for a 12:30 finish and a DIY 200km Audax finishing atop Cam High Rd.
That'll cover my Randonneur Round the Year and BAM efforts for the month of June.
All cheery so far

At home feeling sh*t. Been around folks who recently had Covid.
I've a day off and planned a big ride on some Alpine tech for it. Conditions would be mint.
Bike running superb too.
Me not so much.
As long as it's only that...
Hadn't had a cold/flu in 3 years.

I'm at work today and it's scorchio down south. There's a strong rumour that if the temperature gets above 30 degrees they'll close site at 1 o'clock, so fingers crossed. If it happens it'll be the perfect afternoon for a spin out along the Kennet and Avon Canal and Berkshire's bridleways.

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Definitely cheery here in my hammock in the garden. I seem to have picked a good week and a bit to take off work, haven't I. So far I have been to visit my parents just before my dad's cancer op; had a great time at a family wedding and even got to talk bikes and bike packing/touring with one of my cousin's; been on a trail run; walked up a big hill; had a day at the seaside; and went out for my BAM last night. Now feeling kind of chill and fulfilled, and all that's left is to laze about enjoying the sun while it lasts, and a few gardening chores, and a generally lazy weekend...
Oh and I've bathed both dogs. It doesn't get much cheerier than seeing a formerly proud fluffy long haired German Shepherd reduced to looking like a scrawny drowned rat
